Yeah, it has been a long time. Well I finally got the iPhone, the phone everybody is so crazy about and I must say, I am stunned! I do not understand all this fuss about copy-paste, sure, it might be handy to copy content from a website or its adress and email that to somebody ... but I could not find any other use for it. Telephone numbers are picked up automatically in sms's and mails, all you need to do is tap them to call, then you can cancel the call and create a contact from the number or add it to an existing one.
The only thing I have not quite got the grip on is the magnifier to change a word ... but I am getting better at it ... ;-)
googlemaps is amazing with the location service, I can stroll around places looking just at my iphone, it is very, very precise!
And with the 3g usb dongle I have, I can have 3g internet on my laptop wherever I am without having to pay horrendous prices ... no, I do not download warez or videos all day long, but it is cool to be able to work anywhere; not that I have used that, yet ... waiting for summer ;-)
The other cool thing is, my email, I have 4 accounts and I never managed to check all of them every day ... I would only very occasionally check my yahoo account, because it does not have IMAP support - with the iphone, I get the mail real-time on the phone ... nice and cool! Same goes for my netscape, gmail and exchange accounts.
